Description détaillée du produit — Smalls Brown Blue

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Burton Smalls Brown Blue is Burton’s junior snowboard designed to help riders learn and progress throughout the entire resort, without the gear becoming an obstacle. Accessible, forgiving, and fun, it supports young snowboarders from their very first runs all the way to their first attempts at tricks.

What are the features of the Burton Smalls Brown Blue snowboard?

The Burton Smalls Brown Blue is a twin-tip board—meaning it’s identical at the front and back—allowing you to ride in either direction, which makes learning and your first switch attempts easier. The Flat Top profile is Burton’s name for this flat camber between the feet with a slight rocker at the tip: it maintains stable contact with the snow while remaining easy to steer.

Who is the Burton Smalls Brown Blue snowboard designed for?

The Burton Smalls Brown Blue is designed for young beginner to intermediate snowboarders who are learning to ride and want to improve with gear tailored to their needs.

A good choice if your child is just starting out or building a solid foundation and is looking for a board that’s easy to handle on all types of terrain.

Not recommended if the young rider is already at a good skill level and is looking for a board designed for aggressive riding to land big jumps.

Frequently Asked Questions About the Burton Smalls Brown Blue Snowboard

Can the Burton Smalls Brown Blue be ridden switch?

Yes: its symmetrical twin shape is designed for that. The front and back of the board are identical, making riding switch just as natural as riding in the standard stance.

Does the Burton Smalls Brown Blue’s construction have a reduced environmental impact?

Burton uses Super Sap® Epoxy resin, which reduces the board’s carbon footprint by 50% compared to conventional petroleum-based epoxy resin.

Is the Burton Smalls Brown Blue suitable for riding in fresh snow?

Its Flat Top profile makes it easy to float in powder. It’s not a dedicated freeride board, but it handles those first runs in freshly fallen snow with ease.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
