Description détaillée du produit — Smalls Mint Coral

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Burton Smalls Mint Coral is Burton’s junior board designed to grow with young riders: a playful board that adapts to a child’s progress, from their first turns to their first tricks. It’s part of Burton’s beginner lineup, featuring a flexible, forgiving design with no unpleasant surprises.

What is the Burton Smalls Mint Coral snowboard designed for?

The Smalls Mint Coral is a versatile, freestyle-oriented board: it rides well anywhere on the mountain and remains comfortable as soon as the young snowboarder starts looking for kickers or small features. The twin shape means the board is identical from tip to tail, which makes learning easier and allows for riding switch (i.e., riding in the opposite direction of your usual riding stance). Burton’s Flat Top profile features a flat camber between the feet with a slight rocker at the tip and tail: the board stays in solid contact with the snow, forgives minor balance mistakes, and responds smoothly.

Who is the Burton Smalls Mint Coral snowboard designed for?

The Smalls Mint Coral is designed for young beginner to intermediate snowboarders who are learning and improving. It’s a board that’s particularly easy to get the hang of: it’s forgiving, it instills confidence, and it offers no resistance to learning.

A top choice if your child is just starting out or building a solid foundation, and you’re looking for a forgiving board that supports their progress without frustration.

Avoid this if the young rider is already at a good skill level and is looking for a board that can handle big jumps with plenty of pop and grip.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
