Description

The Trick Pony is a nice ride that won a Transworld Good Wood award in 2014. The board is twin-tipped and therefore really easy to play with, perfect for lapping the park over and over again. Featuring a Super Fly II core reinforced with triax fiber and carbon, Burton made its pony poppy and responsive with tons of personality. The flat camber featured is a good compromise as it provides stability and forgiveness without compromising the freestyle playfulness we all need.

What our testers say : Flat-cambered twin board, very poppy, excelling through parks and backcountry freestyle sessions. It's a good riding horse very versatile that handles any snow conditions with ease and feels comfortable everywhere. The board's really nimble and floaty, it's easy to play with on all sides of the mountain. It would be a good partner for advanced riders looking for a new skateboard that glides on snow!

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
