Description

The DC EMB features a twin directional shape, allowing for more control in curves and versatility while maintaining ease when switching. It's positioned halfway between freestyle and freeride, making it a good all-around board. Regarding its decoration, you will enjoy the work of the skateboard photographer Tobin Yellend, using photos taken in the 90's of the mythical skateboard spots of the Embarcadero in San Francisco.

What is the program of the snowboard DC EMB?

The EMB can be used on all terrains, as its classic camber is very pronounced and provides excellent grip in cut turns on hard snow, and the backward position of the binding inserts allows the snowboard to slide off in fresh snow. On the other hand, its well-balanced flex allows a good bounce in curves, while keeping playability on the spatulas to easily pop an ollie and do a press. With it, you can really vary the pleasures between carving on the piste, off-piste runs or sessions in the park.

Who is the DC EMB snowboard for?

We recommend this model to experienced snowboarders looking for a board that offers a mix between playability and strength on all terrains with which they can ride technically and place tricks.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
