Description

The Focus from DC Snowboards is a board that focuses on progression. DC has made a commitment to making this board accessible. Thanks to its shape and forgiving flex, it will easily forgive mistakes and edge errors, allowing you to build confidence and have fun. Let's go!

What is the program of the DC Focus snowboard?

The Focus is equipped with a wood core that is both flexible and robust. It makes the board playful and energy efficient compared to a rigid snowboard that requires more energy to be used. It also features an inverted camber, designed to limit edge faults when making your first runs. With a nose slightly longer than its tail, it provides manoeuvrability and the first turns will quickly follow one another. The bonus is that the board also works very well in powder snow and has great freestyle skills, particularly thanks to its symmetrical nose and tail, which allows you to switch riding. So once you have mastered the basics, you will be able to vary the terrain and do a bit of freestyle!

Who is the DC Focus snowboard for?

The Focus is perfect for beginner/intermediate snowboarders looking for a versatile and easy to handle snowboard to get started and/or continue to progress throughout the resort, snowpark included!

What are the main qualities of the DC Focus snowboard?

Manoeuvrability

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
