With its accessible flex, the DC Focus is rather soft to allow you to discover snowboarding without challenging you technically. This very same flex can, once you feel more comfortable, allow you to do some freestyle. If this model is particularly accessible and fun, it is first and foremost thanks to its reverse camber. This profile, shaped like a banana enables the board to pivot effortlessly, as it will turn naturally from its centre of gravity. This shape also provides more forgiveness and will be able to erase your little mistakes to prevent you from eating snow when catching an edge. If you want to venture a bit off-piste to have some fun, you will easily keep the nose of the Focus out of deeper snow. On this model, you will also find a setback foot stance, which allows to shift your body weight toward the back to facilitate the manoeuvres in shallow powder.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
