Description

The Mega is the souped up version of the Ply. It's got the same pop, the same playful character thanks to the Stratus Core and the Lock & Load camber (traditional camber between the feet and flat through the tips), but it comes with a stiffer flex and more underfoot power. That makes energy transmissions faster and more reactive, allowing for more precise lines. The flat tips enhance the board's playfulness and give freestylers a better press quality. Special mention for the board's finish, the wood-like topsheet looks incredibly nice!

 

What our testers say : Freestyle twin inspired from the Ply but featuring a more responsive construction making the board a little more demanding and best suited for advanced and expert riders. The profile of the Mega delivers a nice skate-like feel. It's easy to pull a ollie and despite a stiff flex, strong riders will enjoy pressing boxes with the deck. Again, it's a stiff board, if you're unsure about your skills or if you want something really playful, have a look at the Ply.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
