Description

You'll appreciate the DC Mega for its blend of strength, precision and playability, which allows you to ride technically and sends you down the slopes like in the snowpark. Beware, the Mega is not a pure twin-tip. The length of its nose is 5 mm longer than the length of its tail, which makes it a directional twin-tip. Only the sizes 154W and 157W are twin-tip and therefore perfectly symmetrical. However, in all cases, you still have a board that is very comfortable in switch riding and with serious freestyle skills.

What is the program of the DC Mega snowboard?

With the DC Mega, you have the perfect board for high level shred! As a freestyle snowboard with an invigorating flex, it allows you to pop big ollies and test the latest carving tricks seen on Instagram. Its classic camber is very pronounced and offers excellent grip on the piste enabling you to get into turns, while its poplar/glass fiber reinforced beech core provides boost and stability. It's a very dynamic board on the piste and perfect for tricks on the edge of the piste or kickers in the snowpark.

Who is the DC Mega snowboard for?

We recommend this model to experienced/expert snowboarders who likes technique, setting the rhythm on the slopes and freestyle. Tonic without being physically demanding, the Mega will allow them perform at their best on the piste and in the park.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
