Description

If we tell you this board with a pointy nose is the weapon of choice of canadian pro rider Devun Walsh, what do you say? Well, there isn’t much to be said in fairness, the Supernatant is a powder beast that’s going to make every backcountry riders happy, that’s all.

What can the DC SUPERNATANT snowboard do?

If the board can satisfy Devun Walsh’s needs, it can probably satisfy yours… This backcountry gun was designed to assault the mountain and leave a track where nobody else has. Featuring a manoeuverable directional shape, a wide nose and a lightweight construction, the board floats on pow with a natural ease and combines perfectly aggressivity and fluidity. The Micro camber delivers pop, grip and response when you most need it and allows fearless riders to land the sickest tricks they have in their bag. The board is also a fantastic carver and has no problem spending a day or two on groomers if there’s no powder around.

Who is the DC SUPERNATANT snowboard designed for?

It is a stiff and demanding board most suited for advanced and expert riders who love shredding the backcountry. If you like charging hard and fast without worrying about the snow conditions, this board is for you.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
