Description

The 156 freestyle snowboard is a unique model from DC, as this board is only available in size 156, as the name makes clear. 156 cm is the basic size for park riding and indeed, this board has one goal: shred hard in freestyle. To do so, it relies on its twin-tip shape, perfectly symmetrical from nose to tail to ride switch. It can also count on its poplar and paulownia wood core reinforced by two layers of triaxial glass fibre. This construction provides lots of dynamism to The 156, which is able to have powerful pop to send higher ollies or boost the rebound in carving. By the way, the classic camber provides all its grip in the turns and increases the rebound for even more explosivity in the terrain park.

What are the main assets of the DC The 156 snowboard?

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
