Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

If you're a beginner and/or want to progress in all areas and not just on the slopes, you need a snowboard that's accessible and able to ride on all types of snow like Drake's League model!

What is the Drake League snowboarding program?

The League combines a flat camber and a soft flex with a twin directional shape, offering great versatility and fun manoeuvring. The flat camber provides a good compromise between grip and tolerance on hard snow, while working better than a classic camber in powder. The soft flex makes riding very easy, allowing you to ride without getting tired and with all the playability you need to have fun placing presses, ollies and other freestyle tricks. Finally, its directional twin shape with a perfectly symmetrical board but a slightly backward foot position, allows for more versatility and manoeuvrability while keeping the board balanced enough to switch. As you can see, the League will allow you to learn and progress at your own pace!

Who is the Drake League snowboard for?

This model has been developed for beginner to intermediate snowboarders looking to move towards an All-Mountain practice, i.e. being able to link turns and the descents through the entire resort. The Drake League will give them the tolerance and versatility they need to build confidence on any terrain.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
