Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Jones Flagship snowboard is a directional freeride board designed for carving through powder, carving on hard snow, and stringing together long turns at high speed—from off-piste to challenging slopes.

What’s the Jones Flagship snowboard all about?

Its directional shape—with a nose wider than the tail and rear-set inserts—positions the board for freeriding and makes it easier to float in deep snow. The hybrid camber profile combines a pronounced rocker at the nose, camber between the feet, and a slight rocker at the tail, offering both lift in powder and solid grip on hardpack. The Power Core wood core and basalt and carbon-Innegra reinforcements provide pop, responsiveness, and stability at high speeds. The sintered base glides fast and holds up to long rides.

Who is the Jones Flagship snowboard designed for?

It’s designed for advanced to expert riders who tackle backcountry terrain and want a board capable of maintaining speed and gripping on hard snow. Its stiffness and directional handling require strong technical skills, placing it at an advanced to expert level.

What are the main features of the Jones Flagship snowboard?

Grip

Stability

Float

Is the Flagship effective in powder?

Yes. The pronounced rocker on the nose, the directional shape, and the Float Pack Inserts—which allow you to move the bindings back—shift your weight rearward and make it easier to float in deep snow.

Does the Flagship grip well on hardpack?

Yes. The camber between the feet and the basalt and carbon-Innegra reinforcements provide solid grip and stability, even in long, fast turns.

Is the Flagship suitable for the snowpark?

That’s not what it’s designed for. The directional shape and stiffness make it better suited for freeriding and carving rather than jibbing or features; it can still jump but isn’t designed for the park.

What’s the difference between the Jones Flagship and the Flagship Pro?

Both share the same directional freeride design and hybrid camber profile. The Flagship Pro takes it a step further with a Fusion Carbon construction, Power Plates that cushion and stiffen the ride under the bindings, and a lightweight Koroyd core: it’s stiffer, offers more cushioning at very high speeds, and is more demanding. The Flagship, built with Triax fiberglass, remains a bit more accessible while covering the same terrain.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
