The Ultracraft the supercharged version of the famous Jones Hovercraft. It has exactly the same directional shape with a generous front spatula, width and tail ideal for powder, but with a more powerful construction based on an FSC Ultra Core reinforced with basalt stringers, flax fibre and fibreglass. The materials are eco-friendly, with bio-based glue and wax to further reduce environmental impact, while remaining high performance as evidenced by the use of a very high density Sintered 9 900 Base sole.  

What is the Jones Ultracraft snowboard program?    

Curve, power and speed. That's the leitmotif of the Ultracraft. This snowboard offers unparalleled stability due to its construction, while its shape allows efficiency on all types of snow. We don't hide the fact that it's a very physically demanding board, but you take advantage of the set-back position of the feet to place it more easily in curves, while the convex shape of the spatula with a 3D Base Contour 3.0 technology softens the transitions from edge to edge. Off-piste, the volume and front spatula rocker provide excellent flotation, allowing you to take full advantage of heavy snow conditions. Whether you're scoring on a steep slope or slaloming down the hill between pines, the Ultracraft is great off-piste!

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
