The Jones Women’s Stratos is an all-mountain snowboard that combines the characteristics of a freeride snowboard with the spirit of a freestyle snowboard. Its design makes it ideal for memorable sessions in the powder.

What is the Jones Women's Stratos snowboard made for?

The Women’s Stratos by Jones is designed to offer versatile performance. Its directional shape with a long rocker at the front and a tapered tail is perfect for powder, while its short radius and friendly flex add a freestyle dimension, making it very manoeuvrable. This board provides secure edge hold on groomers and hard snow thanks to its traditional camber section and Traction Tech 3.0 edges. The basalt reinforcements in the wood core add rebound between turns, as well as stability and damping, allowing for dynamic turns.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
