The K2 Alchemist is a high-end performance snowboard that benefits from numerous advanced technologies to make it a stable and manoeuvrable monster of power. Everything is here: Bambooyah Pro core, triaxial glass fibre, Spectral Braid and Carbon Powder Fork reinforcements. The precision, rebound and responsiveness are available, you just have to unleash the beast. Its neat construction also integrates a high-quality base designed with carbon particles for an amazing glide.

What is the program of the K2 Alchemist snowboard?

The technologies making the Alchemist are all the more complex as its program is simple: ride powerfully and ride everywhere. As the name implies, K2 played the alchemist to obtain an aggressive and versatile board that rides in powder or on groomed runs with lots of control and precision. Its bamboo core is lightweight but very powerful, while the great torsional stiffness, as well as the tail reinforcements improve the stability. The classic camber offers exceptional edge control and fantastic grip. The front rocker and slightly setback foot stance allow to move the weight toward the back and ensure good floatability in powder and easier turn initiations.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
