Description

The First Lite has everything you need to make rapid progress in snowboarding. Its shape offers efficiency on all types of snow while being easy to handle and technically undemanding. The player flex provides ease while maintaining responsiveness and allowing you to continue to progress once you've acquired the basics.

What is the program of the K2 First Lite snowboard?

The K2 First Lite has a flat camber and rockers on the tips, offering you a good compromise between grip and tolerance on hard snow, to avoid repeated edge faults and facility in linking turns. This profile also allows you to pass without difficulty over transformed snow at the end of the day or small powder on the edges of the piste. Finally, the K2 First Lite has a perfectly symmetrical shape called "twin-tip", allowing you to be just as comfortable in switching as in your usual direction and thus have as many freestyle options as possible. Once you're comfortable on your board, you can try your hand at tricks in the snowpark or on the edges of the piste!

Who is the K2 First Lite snowboard for?

We recommend this model to beginners or intermediate snowboarders. Beginners will find the safety and forgiveness necessary to learn smoothly, while resourceful snowboarders will take advantage of its playability and versatility to have fun all over the resort.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
