Description

The K2 First Lite is a snowboard for beginners, with a shape and construction that is typical of freestyle. Indeed, the symmetrical shape and the centred foot position allow to ride in both directions and to have a maximum of freestyle options. The camber has a flat camber in the centre of the board and rocker in the tips, which gives you a secure grip on groomed snow while still providing forgiveness on edge faults. This profile also works very well on the edges of the slopes, offering good glide on piste and small powder terrains. Perfect for back and forth between the slopes and the edges. Finally, the glass fibre reinforced wood core offers an accessible flex, for more ease in turns but also more playability in freestyle. This is an ideal model to start snowboarding in the resort and to allow the more daring to go for a ride in the snowpark.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
