Description

The directional shape of the K2 Instrument is designed to provide maximum cornering dynamics on all types of snow. It's a board that allows you to get into the rides without being too demanding. It is mid-wide, slightly wider than a normal snowboard, increasing flotation in powder. A pure delight for lovers of beautiful lines!

What is the program of the K2 Instrument snowboard?

The K2 Instrument is equipped with a Bambooyah Core, reinforced with a fiberglass braid integrating carbon spars and carbon strips placed in a V shape at the spatulas. This combination of materials makes for a lightweight, high performance board with lots of bounce in the curves and stability on the edge, while maintaining comfort. You can ride it all day long and link curves at will. Its generous front rocker and reclined foot position make turns and transitions on all terrains easier, while also offering an excellent floatation in powder snow. The classic camber offers perfect grip on the slopes as well as on hard off-piste sections of snow. Thus, you get to enjoy all terrains in a wide variety of conditions!

Who is the K2 Instrument snowboard intended for?

We recommend this model to experienced snowboarders looking for a snowboard that allows them to embark on descents and link curves on all terrains, without falling on a snowboard that is too technical, rigid and energy-consuming. Mid-wide width may be an option for snowboarders with slightly larger than average feet.

What are the main qualities of the K2 Instrument snowboard?

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
