Description

The K2 Overboard has a pintail shape, with an imposing nose and a very refined tail, as well as a construction that mixes 3 types of wood, fiberglass and carbon. There is also a Sintered 4 000 sole, for a better glide even on spring snow! Available only in size 165 and with a larger width than a classic snowboard to ensure maximum flotation.

What is the program of the K2 Overboard snowboard?

The Overboard is designed for curves and fresh snow. Its volume and ultra-directional shape, its generous rocker in the front spatula as well as its reclined foot position provides it with an unlimited flotation even in the deepest snow. Ideal for long curves, it remains stable even at high speed thanks to its wooden core reinforced with a triaxial braid of glass and carbon fibre. On hard snow, it offers excellent grip and a lot of precision for carving. Clearly, this is a high-performance snowboard perfect for curves in powder snow but with which you can also use on the slopes!

Who is the K2 Overboard snowboard for?

We recommend this model to experienced or expert snowboarders looking for a freeride board with an alternative shape that offers great performance in the snow, while remaining very effective on hard snow. Be careful, due to its imposing volume, this board is a bit physical to ride and therefore requires a good physical condition.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
