Description

The K2 Party Platter, here in an edition designed with Tony Hawk and his skateboard brand Birdhouse, is a versatile snowboard designed as a quiver board, that is to say a board suitable for all practices. For both freeride and freestyle. To enable you to go riding in the powder, we find a directional shape with a tail slightly less wide than the nose and a rocker well pronounced in the front tip. Thanks to these features, the Party Platter can be ridden without difficulty. Nevertheless, we are far from the 100% freeride board, on the contrary, with the classic camber, the perfectly centred binding inserts and the well-balanced flex, we have a board that is suitable on piste and in the snowpark. The grip is excellent, it provides a good rebound in turns and flex in the tips. It also has a powerful ollie pop thanks to the Ollie Bar reinforcement. Thus, we have a very versatile board that enables fun during all-mountain practices, freestyle and enjoying the good conditions when the conditions are right.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
