Description

Lib Tech has designed the BRD with a very directional shape, offering control, manoeuvrability and versatility. Sustainably made, this freeride-oriented snowboard benefits from Lib Tech know-how and is manufactured in the Mervin American plant. It features various technologies such as the Magne-Traction serrated edges.

What is the program of the Lib Tech BRD snowboard?

Designed to offer maximum manoeuvrability in turns and on any terrain, the BRD features a tapered tail, lots of volume at the nose and a setback stance. The weight being put further back, it immediately lifts in powder and turning is more natural on any type of snow. It also benefits from the Power Construction, promoting good responsiveness and stability without being too stiff to stay fun to ride. The classic camber combined to the Magne-Traction edges ensure good performances on piste and excellent grip on hardpack off-piste. The BRD is designed to carve strongly and trace in fresh snow between trees at a good pace.

Who is the Lib Tech snowboard for?

This model is meant for skilled and very skilled snowboarders who want to venture on any type of snow with control and stability, without having to deal with a too demanding model, to keep maximum riding pleasure.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
