Description

The Cortado is equipped with a directional shape and Lib Tech technologies such as the Magne-Traction edges or the Banana camber which make it a pleasant board to ride on all types of snow. It also benefits from the eco-design of the American factory Mervin, which uses a maximum of bio-sourced materials, operates with sustainably produced electricity, etc.

What is the program of the snowboard Lib Tech Cortado?

Larger at the nose and shorter at the tail, with inserts that position the feet towards the back of the board, the Cortado has been designed in a directional way to increase control in curves on all terrain and to ensure good flotation in powder snow. In addition, the Magne-Traction corrugated edges increase grip on the piste and the hybrid camber works on all types of snow, always providing comfort and playability. Finally, with a medium flex which is neither too stiff nor too soft, this is really a board that allows you to set the pace on the slopes while maintaining comfort and with which you can enjoy everything the resort has to offer.

Who is the Lib Tech Cortado snowboard intended for?

We recommend this model to intermediate to advanced snowboarders, looking to ride on all types of terrain and are looking for a versatile snowboard with which to have fun and progress.

What are the main qualities of the Lib Tech Cortado snowboard?

Versatility

Manoeuvrability

Good compromise between performance and accessibility

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
