Description

Boom! The Skate Banana returns and that is a hell of a good news. This board has been a revolution in the freestyle world, it has given it a good shake when it came out with its Banana profile bringing playfulness to an unparalleled level. Featuring a Columbian Gold/Power A core, the board's loaded with pop. Slightly redesigned compared to previous versions, the Skate Banana gets more versatile and delivers more floatation on powder. If you wanted a magic stick that turns a whole resort into a snowpark, you've come to the right place here.

What our testers say : If you are looking for a freestyle board that performs anywhere, the Skate Banana is a safe bet. The way it works through snowparks is exactly how it should be with a stable and playful feel and tons of pop, but it's also great elsewhere on the resort. We managed to carve a few trenches on trails and we didn't feel uncomfortable on powder. The board is a little stiff though, best suited for advanced riders.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
