Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

In Lib Tech’s experimental range, we have the Steely D, a robust and versatile snowboard designed for intermediate to advanced riders. This board combines an old-school shape with modern technology to deliver balanced performance on all types of terrain. Equally at home on groomers or in powder, it features a directional shape, coupled with an Aspen/Paulownia core and C3 camber, offering impressive stability, enhanced control and excellent float in powder. The addition of Magne-Traction edges improves grip on hard snow and the Sintered base guarantees fast, durable glide. This makes the Steely D ideal for snowboarders looking to improve their skills, while still offering enough performance for experienced riders. It offers solid performance whether you're on groomers or in the backcountry.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
