Description

This is a snowboard developed specifically for the American Travis Rice, recognized as one of the best snowboarders on the planet. The Goldmember FP benefits from a construction that is both very powerful and light thanks to a mix of poplar, paulownia, balsa and fiberglass. It combines this construction with a directional shape designed for freeride, but still balanced for placing tricks.  

What is the program of the Lib Tech snowboard Travis Rice Goldmember FP?  

The Travis Rice Goldmember FP is a directional board, with more length at the nose and a specially shaped tail for better powder riding. The foot position is slightly setback, both to further improve lift and to increase curve control on all terrains. With a powerful construction offering stability and responsiveness and a hybrid camber that offers control and stability in all types of snow, you have a board that can draw lines at any speed on any terrain. The Magne-Traction edges provide extra grip when riding on trails or hard snow. Finally, it remains balanced for switching and allows you to send a few tricks from time to time.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
