Description

The Lobster Halldor Helgason is Halldor Helgason’s own personal ride of choice. And as you may know, a signature model is often synonym of high performance and this one is no exception. Featuring a Reactor core and diagonal carbon reinforcements under the feet for more ollie power and an asymmetrical 3BT shape, the 2017 Halldor Helgason has all it takes for setting the mountain on fire.

What can the Lobster Halldor Helgason snowboard do?

Stop thinking and start ripping, bomb the steeps as fast as you can and charge groomers the same way to end up in the park which is the board’s fav playground. This snowboard is a rocket that destroys every obstacle lying on its way. The Halldor Helgason delivers solid grip on groomers and stunning reactivity to make carvers happy, but it’s also a prodigy in the backcountry where it floats, surfes and slashes as much as you like. The board is powerful and feels great but it requires strong legs to really perform, especially in the park. If you like linking aggressive runs down the most technical line with black kickers and long rails, this board is for you.

Who is the Lobster Halldor Helgason snowboard designed for?

Suited for advanced freestylers or even experts, the board provides tons of pop and hardcore support for sending big tricks anywhere on the mountain. From massive park kickers to natural booters, the Halldor Helgason delivers, end of story.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
