Description

Developed by Austin Fox and Bryan Smith, the Banker is part of the "Quiver Series", which combines snowboards with alternative shapes that offer great performance in powder, but is also known as a "Carver Crue", a board that excels in carving. Named Banker in reference to the discipline of Banked Slalom (a slalom race in snowboarding on steep curves), this model remains above all a board that excels in curves and especially on the piste.

What is the program of the Nitro Banker snowboard?

The Banker is a dynamic and aggressive board, ideal for linking turns and rhythmic descents on the piste thanks to the grip, bounce and stability offered by the combination of pure classic camber and a powerful wood core. Technical enough to ride, it maintains fluidity during edge to edge transitions and curve entry not too demanding thanks to the directional flex, the progressive curve radius as well as the position of the setback feet position. This slight reclination of the inserts, combined with the directional shape of the board provides good flotation in powder snow. This way, you can also break the monotony of the slopes by going out behind the poles to enjoy the beautiful snow conditions.

Who is the Nitro Banker snowboard for?

This model is intended for experienced or expert snowboarders looking to ride technically, make high-speed turns on the piste and maintain progression.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
