What can the Nitro The AMERICAN ROUSE snowboard do?

This freestyle stick is going to take you from park to streets with style and ease but it will also let you explore the resort to find natural features and work on your creativity. The American Rouse is a sexy, grippy and nimble board featuring Nitro’s Cam-out profile for a more catch-free and playful ride. The Park Flex and the Rail Killer edges make the board responsive, poppy and shock-resistant, ideal for jumping and jibbing endlessly and the Speed Formula Base delivers a smooth and fast glide. The American Rouse is a great park board that’s going to keep freestylers happy whether they’re linking park features or having fun on the slopes.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
