Description

This isn't astonishing is it ? The Prime comes back this year to please those gentlemen willing to try themselves at freeriding. It seems normal to see the Lectra as well. The freeride entry-of-range board for the ladies. The same characteristics apply, like a lower price for those who don't want to spend a month salary on their first board, a poplar core for strength and accessibility, and a zero camber for an effortless ride. The board focuses on the important points of the learning phase : easy to ride, manoeuvrable, forgiving.

What our testers say : The most accessible freeride board from Nitro. Accessible due to its low price and due to the small amount of skills required. Indeed, the flat camber and the soft flex is all you need when you begin snowboarding. Easy to use, not too demanding on a physical point of view, the board will forgive mistakes and let you progress smoothly.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
