Description

With its very directional shape and explicit name, the Mountain makes no secret about its use. It is a predominantly freeride snowboard, which prefers to ride all over the mountain drawing beautiful lines. It has a quality construction and a well-balanced level of performance, offering technicality without being too radical.

What is the program of the Nitro Mountain snowboard?

The Mountain has a nose with a generous volume and rocker, a tighter and more rigid tail, and a foot position set back quite a bit. This very directional design ensures a natural ability in turns and in the snow. The Mountain offers a smooth ride and real comfort in powder snow, but is also very easy to handle on the piste. The classic camber provides a secure grip while the progressive curve radius provides great acceleration at the end of the curve. It's a dynamic board with which you can vary the curves and rhythms on any terrain, especially with its reinforced wood core that allows you to ride up the turns as well as loosen up a bit to ride cooler.

Who is the Nitro Mountain snowboard for?

We recommend this model to experienced or expert snowboarders looking for a freeride board that they can ride in all conditions, offering responsiveness and stability without being too physically demanding.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
