Designed with a shape freeride, the Mountain snowboard from Nitro very easily expresses a versatile character. If it's playful in the snow, it also knows how to sneak onto the slopes without any difficulty. The fiberglass-reinforced wood core makes it nervous on the descent. The classic camber offers stability and grip for precise cut turns. The inserts set back on the rear also have a role to play here, making it easier to enter corners. The rockers smooth out turns, avoiding edge errors and ensuring good launch in the fresh. Aimed more at intermediate to advanced snowboarders, the Nitro Mountain board doesn't lack tone but remains, despite everything, accessible, without being too physically demanding.

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
