Description

Perfect for progressing and varying the terrain as you progress, the Nitro Ripper Youth is the favourite board of budding snowboarders! Its design is typical of freestyle snowboards, but its versatility allows it to be used on the piste as well as on the edges and in the snowpark. But let's not skip any step, let's start by learning the technical basics!

What is the program of the Nitro Ripper Youth snowboard?

The Ripper Youth is indeed perfect for a gentle introduction to snowboarding, taking advantage of the good compromise between grip and tolerance offered by the flat camber to quickly make the first turns while limiting edge errors. In addition to the rocker with spatulas and a soft flex, the Ripper Youth is really easy to handle and low energy consuming. It has the added advantage of working well on soft spring or late day snow, as well as on the small powder snow along the edges of the piste. Finally, the perfectly symmetrical shape allows the most adventurous riders to try their first freestyle tricks.

Who is the Nitro Ripper Youth snowboard designed for?

This model is designed for young snowboarders, whether they are completely new to snowboarding or already have some technical skills. In any case, the Ripper Youth allows them to have fun all over the resort and continue to progress.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
