Description

Exceptionally versatile, the Nitro Santoku snowboard is capable of adapting to the various terrains encountered at a resort. It allows you to be perfectly comfortable on groomers, demonstrates very good capabilities in the terrain park, and offers decent float in powder when you venture into the side country.

What is the Nitro Santoku snowboard made for?

The Nitro Santoku benefits from a pronounced traditional camber, ensuring exceptional grip on hard snow. It is not afraid of sharp and reactive turns, and responds efficiently to every movement. Its design does not require excessive physical strength thanks to a medium flex, thus offering you an effortless glide and ease in freestyle. Flatland tricks become child's play, while rails can quickly become its favourite playground. But make no mistake, the Santoku is not a soft board. Its carbon reinforcements promote a vigorous pop, energising your turns and jumps. It may seem unusual for a twin-tip with traditional camber, but this board will surprise you with its floatability in fresh snow.

Who is the Nitro Santoku snowboard aimed at?

This board is aimed at advanced or expert snowboarders. If you enjoy various riding styles, pacing your descents with agility and passion, and boldly taking on the park, the Santoku is for you. It is ideal for those looking to master every corner of the resort with confidence and style.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
