Description

Don't fix it if it ain't broken. This is probably what the engineers at Palmer thought when they decided to continue the Flash Twin. The board was great and it remains great. No changes for 2016. It is the same powerful twin tipped freestyle board that destroyed so many snow parks last year.

What can the Palmer Flash Twin do?

The Flash Twin comes with a flat camber and a twin shape which is pretty much the magic receipe for ultimate freestyle performance. Add to it a nice and mellow flex pattern for pressing rails and buttering natural lips and you get one of the most playful toys available on the market. Throw it in the park and you won't see your day go by. Let your creativity speak and add new tricks to your catalogue. Airs, grabs, rails and street riding belong to the board's DNA. Camber-wise, you get the FLF Twin Rocker consisting of a flat zone in the midsection with two long and progressive rockers in the tips. This enhances the board's playfulness and maximises its powder efficiency. Powered by a powerful poplar core, the Flash Twin has the pop it takes to stomp any black line with style and the reactivity needed to carve with ease. In other words, the Flash Twin is the ultimate gun for fun!

Who is the Palmer Flash Twin designed for?

It is the kind of board that delivers instant fun to anyone with any level. Suitable for technical freestylers, it's also a good match for intermediate versatile riders or even for beginners looking for an easy and forgiving board.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
