Description

The Kink returns for another season with the same goal in mind. Tear the park apart and burn every feature down to ashes. It is Ride’s definition of freestyle and you can do nothing but fall in love with it.

What can the Ride KINK snowboard do?

Ride the Kink and your name is going to be in everyone’s mouth by the end of winter. Parks and streets will be your targets and no one will be able to tell if you’re riding switch or not. The Kink is the kind of gem that’s loved and cherished by every park rat. Its true twin shape and its hybrid camber delivers hardcore performance to fulfill your freestyle needs. Built to endure, the board’s got reinforced edges, Slimewalls technology and Impact Plates to make sure rails break before the board. For the control and the pop, you can rely on the rockered tips and cambered midsection giving riders what they need to ollie over skiers waiting to hit the jump line. The Kink goes first, the rest follows…or tries to.

Who is the Ride KINK snowboard designed for?

The Kink is the board of choice of core freestylers who spend 99% of their time fine-tuning their tricks may it be in the park or on the slopes. This is snowboard satisfaction at its best. Recommended to advanced and expert riders.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
