Description

If you spend most of your time on the slopes or in the snowpark and like twin-tip snowboards for switch and freestyle, the Ride Machete should appeal to you. You'll appreciate its stylish graphics, as well as its rugged construction that offers good durability even for those who do a lot of rails and modules.

What is the Ride Machete snowboard program?

The Machete is not a simple twin-tip: it's a snowboard perfectly optimized for riding on the slopes and in the snowpark. Its wooden core gives it bounce and character, and it is also reinforced with carbon spars and carbon crossbars at the spatula, to boost the pop and stability of the board without making it more physically demanding to ride. This allows you to mark precise trajectories on the slopes and send big ollies, even more so with the classic camber, while still maintaining comfort and playability. Slimewalls urethane reinforcements along the edges protect the board from impacts, while Double Impact Plates at the bindings help absorb vibrations. Finally, you also have rocker zones in the spatula areas, which make edge-to-edge transitions easier while providing better glide on fresh snow at the edges. You've got it, you've found the perfect board for the resort!

Who is the Ride Machete snowboard for?

We recommend this model to intermediate or very experienced snowboarders who ride mainly on the piste and/or in the snowpark. This board will allow them to put some rhythm in the descents while maintaining playability and a maximum of freestyle skills.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
