Description

The Ride Zero Jr is a snowboard for kids and teens, with a construction identical to the adult models, simply adapted in flex and size. Its camber + rockers profile provides secure grip on the slopes, and the asymmetrical edges offer more control than symmetrical edges. The front and back edges of this board have different curve radii to compensate for the natural power deficit of frontside supports. Be sure to respect the direction of the board when installing the bindings to get the right front and back edges. On the other hand, the soft flex provides tolerance and comfort, making it easier for young snowboarders to link turns. Last but not least, the rockers on the tips of the skis make it easy to get through the soft snow on the slopes, while the twin-tip shape is perfect for beginners to freestyle. So once you've got the basics down or confirmed, this board lets you keep progressing on all fronts!

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
