Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Rome Artifact is a twin-tip snowboard with a medium flex, that provides responsiveness and pop while maintaining a good dose of flexibility for freestyle playability. The construction is not insignificant, as it features a wooden shell reinforced with bamboo stringers for an enhanced explosiveness, as well as an extra fiberglass insert in the bindings (Impact Plates) to help absorb shock and vibration.

What is the programme of the Rome Artifact snowboard?

Beyond the symmetrical shape typical of freestyle snowboards, everything on the Artifact is designed to provide more possibilities for tricks on piste and in the snowpark. For example, the shape of the double-kick spatulas (a spatula raised in two distinct parts instead of a progressive rise) improves the press and landings, the bamboo stringers increase the ollie pop, the Impact Plates reinforcements absorb shock, etc. With the addition of a classic camber that provides optimum grip and maximises the board's reactivation, as well as a flex that is well balanced between performance and playability, you can really enjoy yourself and go from crazy sessions to alternating between piste and park.

Who is the Rome Artifact snowboard for?

Accessible from the intermediate level, we recommend this model to snowboarders who mainly ride on piste or in the snowpark and are looking for a board that performs well on packed snow while offering maximum possibilities for tricks!

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
