Description

The Rome Mechanic is a versatile and playful snowboard, perfect for riders looking to progress. With its twin-tip shape and flat profile, it offers exceptional forgiveness and manoeuvrability, ideal for having fun on all terrains. Whether you're linking tricks in the terrain park or carving on groomers, the Mechanic is there for you.

What is the Rome Mechanic snowboard made for?

The Rome Mechanic snowboard features a Stomp Core wood core, reinforced with two layers of biaxial fibreglass, providing a soft flex. This allows for quick handling and a day of riding without excessive leg fatigue. This soft flex also makes it easier to perform tricks in the terrain park. Additionally, the flat camber and rockers at the tips ensure exceptional manoeuvrability and playful jibbing capabilities. On groomers, the board offers good edge hold and forgives minor edge mistakes, making it ideal for beginners or those looking to progress with confidence. The Mechanic is a versatile board, perfect for exploring groomers, backcountry, and freestyle.

Who is the Rome Mechanic snowboard aimed at?

We recommend the Rome Mechanic for beginner to intermediate riders. It is perfect for those still in the learning phase and seeking a forgiving board to progress confidently on groomers.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
