Description

The Rome Royal has a wooden shell that offers a soft, easy-to-grip flex, while its cambered profile provides maximum tolerance. The Japanese theme is still present, with the flowering cherry tree on the topsheet and the traditional Japanese motifs on the sole.

What is the programme of the Rome Royal snowboarding?

The Rome Royal is perfect for relaxed rides throughout the resort. As soon as you get on it, you are put at ease by the soft flex which allows you to ride without forcing on the supports. The flat camber is perfect for easy turns. With the spatula rockers, you get the right mix of a secure grip and a good tolerance to avoid edge faults. In addition, this profile allows you to glide better on transformed snow and on the small powder on the edges of the piste. And then the perfectly symmetrical shape of the board allows you to try riding in your opposite direction (switch!) and perform tricks!

Who is the Rome Royal snowboard for?

This model is designed for beginner or intermediate snowboarders in need of ease and versatility to enjoy the whole resort and discover snowboarding in all its facets.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
