Description

In order to allow you to approach your first descents in the best possible conditions, Rossignol has created the Gala, a robust and light snowboard on which everything has been thought to facilitate your learning.

What is the program of the Rossignol Gala snowboard?

The Gala is a directional snowboard. The back is thinner than the front, the front is softer than the back and the foot position is slightly set back. These three elements make the Gala easier to steer, turns are easier to initiate on all terrains, and it works better in soft snow and powder. Flexible and not too physically demanding, it also has a camber and rocker profile designed to be versatile and technically accessible. The camber gives you a secure grip on hard snow without pushing you to the edge, while the rockers soften the edge-to-edge passages and improve the lift in powder. Want to enjoy the entire resort at your leisure? The Rossignol Gala is perfect for that.

Who is the Rossignol Gala snowboard for?

It is intended for pure beginners as well as for snowboarders who know how to ride or who do not ride often. It is suitable for any rider who is looking for maximum riding comfort and versatility.

What are the main qualities of the Rossignol Gala snowboard?

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
