Description

Designed by the artist Ruber Sanchez, you may forgot it's a board and hang it on your wall. But that would be a shame cause the Krypto is a snowboard, and a good one! Inspired from the XV (Xavier De Le Rue signature model), the board offers similar performance but it's not as demanding. The Amptek All-mountain profile combined with the Magne Traction technology makes the board perform equally on powder and on harder snow. The Twinwood 3 core is a touch softer and makes the board more forgiving than the XV, allowing less experienced riders to have fun like pros.

What our testers say : With the Krypto, Rossignol offers to intermediate and advanced riders a versatile freeride-oriented board that's got a lot to offer. The board is grippy and precise on the hardpack, it carves easily and feels lively and responsive. On powder, its shape makes floatation natural and effortless with tons of underfoot support. Regardless of the terrain, the board never felt too difficult to steer or too demanding.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
