Description

Turn" rockers offering great manoeuvrability. It is ideal for learning to snowboard and progressing smoothly throughout the resort.

What is the Rossignol Scan snowboard program?

The wood shell of the Scan has been thinned out over its entire length to make it lighter but also to provide more manoeuvrable. The Scan is therefore a board that uses very little energy, that can be handled effortlessly, thanks to the very pleasant edge/snow contact offered by the camber + rockers profile. The camber section provides a secure grip on hard snow, while the rockers limit edge faults and facilitate transitions from one turn to the next. With the Scan, you can learn how to perform turns step by step, then take advantage of the lift offered by the rockers to have fun on the edges of the piste, or for the more adventurous, try a few tricks thanks to the twin-tip shape.

Who is the Rossignol Scan snowboard intended for?

We recommend this model to children who are new to snowboarding, as it provides a quick grip and enables a rapid progression. No prerequisites needed for this board, just a little motivation!

What are the main qualities of the Rossignol Scan snowboard?

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
