Description

With the Taipan you're going for versatility and easiness! You're also going to save some money! Rossignol gave the board a simple and reliable construction with a soft directional flex providing added forgiveness to riders. The board comes with a wood 6420 core and a Amptek All-mountain profile. Combined together, these technologies turn the board into a mellow progressive deck loaded with predictability, playfulness and floatation. In other words, if you wish to become a freerider but you haven't the skills yet, this board will definitely help you achieve your mission!

What our testers say : Perfect for riders who want to shred everything but their wallet. This valuable board is a great opportunity for beginners and intermediates who want to upgrade their game and go past the ropes for exploring the mountain a little further. The board works very well on ungroomed snow with a nice floaty feel when it gets deep. And even if we say it's a freeride all-mountain board, you can still have a go in the snowpark, you'll see, the board won't mind.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
