Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The snowboard XV Sashimi from Rossignol was developed with Xavier de Le Rue and features a highly directional shape, with lots of volume and rocker up front and a little less in the rear. The foot position is very far back, and the whole package offers very efficient lift-off and effortless flotation. A pleasure to slalom between fir trees in deep snow. But powder isn't its only domain. Without classic camber, it retains all the grip it needs on hard snow or piste. The flex is also directional, with a softer front end for easier entry into curves, and a stiffer rear end for control and relaunch. A board that's as beautiful as it is efficient, powerful and fun to ride, with which an experienced snowboarder will be able to enjoy linking beautiful turns all over the resort in a variety of conditions, but especially in the slop!"

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
