This is it, your daughter is old enough to try snowboarding. Now you can share your passion and ride as a family! To make sure your daughter's first moments on the slopes become fond memories, it's best to choose a board that's designed for little riders, fun and easy to handle. For this, Roxy offers you the Poppy Baby, with of course a cute deco that will delight little girls and other budding snowboarders!!

What's the program for the Roxy Poppy Baby snowboard?

Nothing too complicated on the Poppy, here we're all about maximum ease and tolerance. To achieve this, there's nothing better than an inverted camber, which helps to avoid edge faults, combined with a supple core to keep control and avoid tiring your legs. The core is still made of wood, protected by a sturdy, forgiving cap construction for durability. With this, your daughter will be ready to make her first turns and will soon be able to follow you on the slopes!

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
