Description

The Roxy Sugar is one of the easiest boards to ride on the market. It distinguishes itself from the competition with its "banana" camber, a hybrid camber that offers a lot of tolerance in turns and also allows it to absorb irregularities from the terrain and to pass over fresh snow. The Sugar is perfect for your snowboarding sessions!

What is the program of the snowboard Roxy Sugar?

The Sugar is equipped with this banana camber whose versatility and ease of use will appeal to both male and female riders. Instead of having a radical grip as with a classic camber, this hybrid camber relies on tolerance allowing you to avoid making unnecessary edge errors on the slopes. You can therefore ride serenely on groomed snow, while still having fun on the edges of the trail and in light powder snow. Finally, you should know that the Sugar has a "twin-tip" shape, meaning that the board is perfectly symmetrical from nose to tail and that the position of the feet is well centered. This is the most balanced solution and it also allows you to switch or do some tricks.

Who is the Roxy Sugar snowboard for?

We recommend this model to beginner snowboarders looking for a very easy and forgiving board to learn snowboarding without making too many edge mistakes, but we also recommend it to intermediates looking to have fun all over the resort!

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
