Description

The HPS - Louif Paradis is a snowboard developed by Salomon for French snowboarder Louif Paradis. It offers lots of responsiveness and every type of snow, while remaining very pleasant to ride.

What is the programme of the Salomon HPS snowboard?

The HPS features a directional twin shape, with lots of width at the nose, and a narrower tail, as well as a setback foot stance. This provides good powder abilities, and a more instinctive ride, while remaining playful and handling well on hardpack. It also features traditional camber, which guarantees grip and rebound between turns, while remaining forgiving in any situation. Finally, the wood core, reinforced by fiberglass and carbon, offers lots of responsiveness and stability, to link turns on every terrain.

Who is the Salomon HPS snowboard for?

We recommend the HPS to advanced and expert snowboarders seeking a responsive and versatile board to ride aggressively on every terrain and send tricks whenever they can.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
