Description

As its name suggests the Salomon Oh Yeah is designed to be fun to ride. It's a playful board with a symmetrical shape typical of freestyle. Nevertheless, it remains quite versatile and accessible: it is not limited to the snowpark and can also be used by beginners.

What is the program of the Salomon Oh Yeah snowboard?

The Salomon Oh Yeah is a twin-tip snowboard with a rather flexible flex. It's the ideal combination for freestyle, seeing as the symmetrical shape allows to ride in both directions and the soft flex easily allows to perform ollies and presses. For the rest, there is a camber + rockers profile that provides good grip and easy edge to edge transitions on hard snow, but also allows you to go over the edges of the piste. Thus, we find a board that is easy to ride, with which we feel confident about having fun, progressing and easily placing tricks, whether in the park or on the edges of the piste.

Who is the Salomon Oh Yeah snowboard for?

This model will suit a beginner snowboarder as well as a snowboarder with a good technical base looking to evolve on a freestyle/park or even a freestyle/all-mountain practice.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
