Description

Made for freestyle park riding, the Sleepwalker snowboard from Salomon features a True Twin shape ideal for switching and a playful flex just right for jibbing. It's a board that's fun to ride and fun to ride, with which you can learn freestyle or continue to progress in the park.

What's in the Salomon Sleepwalker snowboard program?

With its 100% twintip shape, the Salomon Sleepwalker features a perfectly symmetrical nose and tail, as well as a well-centered position of the binding inserts. Thanks to this specific shape, you'll be able to enjoy maximum freestyle playability by being able to perform your jumps and landings in the direction you want. The Sleepwalker's Popster wood core offers an intermediate flex that's capable of bringing pop and nervousness to this board. Coupled with the Rock Out Camber profile and its combination of flat, cambered and rocker profiles, you can easily tackle presses and other freestyle tricks in the park. For added comfort, Salomon has fitted this board with rubber blocks inserted directly into the ABS sidewalls. This construction dampens vibrations on all types of snow, resulting in less fatigue even after a day of hard riding.

Who is the Salomon Sleepwalker snowboard designed for?

Because of its construction specifically designed to have fun in complete freedom in the snowpark, the Salomon Sleepwalker is aimed at intermediate snowboarders who want to take their freestyle technique to the next level in order to send ever more impressive tricks.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
